Ressencourt was born in 1981 and Roché in 1983. Their formal education provided a strong foundation in graphic arts and technical execution which they eventually channeled into a shared passion for drawing and street art. Over the last decade, Murmure has evolved from an ephemeral street art project into a globally recognized studio practice that creates high quality limited edition art prints and original works.
Significant accomplishments for the duo include their mastery of hyperrealistic charcoal and graphite techniques which they have since expanded into bronze sculptures and large scale murals. Their work is characterized by a blend of surrealism and social commentary often focusing on environmental impact and the paradoxes of consumer society. Murmure has successfully transitioned from the streets to prestigious indoor settings while maintaining their signature narrative depth. Their technical precision in scale one black chalk drawings has made them a favorite among poster collectors who value intricate detail and conceptual weight.

Mau Mau is a prolific British street artist and satirical illustrator hailing from North Devon in the United Kingdom. Known for his sharp wit and uncompromising social commentary, he has become a staple within the global limited edition art print and poster collector community. His creative journey began in the early nineties when he transitioned from the surf and skate culture of the English coast to the urban landscapes of London and beyond. This background heavily influenced his visual language, blending a laid back coastal aesthetic with the grit and urgency of underground protest art.
Educationally, he is largely self taught, drawing inspiration from the DIY ethos of the graffiti scene rather than traditional academic institutions. This raw, unfiltered approach allowed him to develop a signature style that resonates with collectors who value authenticity over formal training. Mau Mau has spent decades refining his craft, moving seamlessly from spray painted murals on city walls to high quality screen prints that sell out rapidly upon release. His work often features a cast of recurring characters, most notably his iconic fox, which serves as a mischievous narrator for his critiques on environmental destruction, corporate greed, and political absurdity.
Throughout his career, he has achieved significant milestones that have solidified his reputation in the urban art world. He has collaborated with major record labels like Ninja Tune and clothiers such as THTC, bringing his message to a broader audience through wearable art and album packaging. His presence in the gallery circuit is equally impressive, with participation in numerous high profile exhibitions across the globe. Some of his most notable gallery shows have taken place at West Bank Gallery in London and various pop up spaces in Bristol, Tokyo, and Bangkok. These exhibitions often highlight his versatility, showcasing everything from large scale canvases to intricate hand finished editions.
In terms of specific works that have garnered international acclaim, pieces like High Times, Fear Makes The Wolf Look Bigger, Little Red Riding Hoodie and Whack Ronald stand out as essential acquisitions for any serious poster collector. Each of these works encapsulates his ability to distill complex global issues into single, striking images. Mau Mau continues to be a driving force in the scene, maintaining a consistent output that keeps his fan base engaged. His art is not merely decorative; it acts as a mirror to society, often using humor to deliver uncomfortable truths. Because his work is deeply rooted in current events and modern struggles, he is widely regarded as a quintessential artist of the present era.
For those tracking the value of his limited editions, his screen prints are highly sought after due to their cultural relevance and meticulous production standards. Whether he is painting a village in Thailand or a shipwreck on a British beach, his commitment to his message remains steadfast. The longevity of his career is a testament to his adaptability and the universal appeal of his satirical perspective. Collectors prize his work for its ability to provoke thought while maintaining a vibrant, graphic quality that commands attention in any setting.

_________________

Fanakapan is a prominent British artist widely celebrated for his groundbreaking contributions to the world of urban art, specifically within the realm of hyper-realistic 3D street art. Emerging in the early 2000s, he quickly distinguished himself through a signature style that masterfully manipulates perspective to create the illusion of three-dimensional, metallic objects floating or interacting with the two-dimensional surfaces of walls and buildings. His work often features a recurring motif of inflated foil or mylar balloon-like figures, frequently depicting letters, characters, or abstract shapes that gleam with a seemingly polished finish and reflect their surroundings.
The artist's technical prowess lies in his acute understanding of light, shadow, and reflection, allowing him to render metallic textures and curved surfaces with uncanny realism using only spray paint. Fanakapan’s art transcends mere decoration; it is an exploration of form, space, and the boundaries between reality and illusion. He challenges viewers to pause and question their perception of the environment, transforming mundane urban landscapes into sites of unexpected visual delight and disorientation.
His distinctive style has made him a globally recognized name, with murals adorning cityscapes from London to Tokyo. While his identity remains somewhat private, his artistic presence is expansive, featured in numerous international street art festivals, gallery exhibitions, and high-profile collaborations. Fanakapan continues to push the technical limits of his medium, inspiring new generations of muralists and leaving an indelible, gleaming mark on the contemporary art scene with his captivating, balloon-inspired creations.

Pierre Yves Riveau, known by his artist pseudonym PEZ, is a celebrated French illustrator, painter, and graphic designer born in Nantes in 1981. Influenced by graffiti, hip hop culture, and surrealists like Dalí and Magritte, PEZ has cultivated a distinctive style that blends pop culture with street art aesthetics. He is internationally renowned for his meticulously detailed, photorealistic pencil drawings and mixed media paintings, often depicting well-known American cartoon characters in states of deconstruction or decay.
PEZ's work is distinguished by its technical precision and embedded, often dark or satirical, narratives. A notable series, "Distroy," visually corrupts beloved icons like Homer Simpson or SpongeBob SquarePants to comment on societal issues or the impact of modern life. By "tricking" the viewer with a familiar subject matter, he draws them into a deeper inspection of the layers of urban decay or complex themes hidden within the image. His original pieces, which can take many hours to complete, have garnered international attention and been featured in solo exhibitions in cities such as Paris and London, as well as group shows in Los Angeles and Seattle. Artist: Mau Mau

Edition: 50
Price: £100

Mau Mau is a renowned British urban graffiti and print artist who has cultivated a significant international following over more than two decades with his humorous, politically charged, and environmentally conscious work. Hailing from the surf and country environment of the North Devon coast, his style is unique, blending a "rural sophistication" with a rebellious urban edge. He got his name during a trip to Ghana in the early 1990s, when Rastafarians at the Twelve Tribes temple couldn't pronounce his birth name, Mark. They started calling him "Mau Mau," and the nickname stuck.
His art often features a trademark character, a mischievous and fun-loving fox, which serves as a neutral yet potent vehicle for sharp social commentary on issues like corporate greed, political corruption, and environmental degradation. Mau Mau began his artistic journey designing graphics for the surf and skate brand Sewerside, co-owned from 1995 to 2001, before fully embracing street art to reach a wider audience beyond the gallery setting.
His street art can be found globally, appearing on city walls, billboards, shipwrecks, and surfboards across the UK, America, Jamaica, Thailand, and Australia. A notable piece, "Olympic Takeaway," which parodied the Olympics with a McDonald's clown, generated significant controversy, reflecting his desire to challenge viewers' perceptions of the world around them.
Beyond street art, Mau Mau has collaborated with various high-profile environmental organizations such as Greenpeace and Surfers Against Sewage, and created art for the Glastonbury Festival and record labels like Ninja Tune. His work has been exhibited in galleries worldwide, and a book of his work, Talking Out of My Art, chronicles his artistic journey and counter-cultural themes.
