Phlegm is a highly acclaimed, anonymous Welsh-born artist known for his distinctive, intricate, monochrome illustrative style that first emerged in the mid-2000s from the UK's urban art scene. Originally a prolific comic book illustrator, he successfully translated his detailed, surreal, and often dystopian imagery from paper to large-scale public murals and gallery spaces worldwide. His signature style is instantly recognizable, featuring dense, fantastical worlds populated by bizarre, mechanical, and organic figures, often towering narratives that intertwine and overlap across entire building facades. Phlegm's work consistently explores complex themes of industrialization, mythology, environmental decay, and philosophical narratives about the human condition and creation itself.
The artist prefers to create immersive, site-specific installations, utilizing the existing architecture to inform the composition, making each piece a unique dialogue between his imagination and the urban landscape. His pieces, almost exclusively black and white, reject the vibrant color palette typical of many street artists, forcing the viewer to focus instead on the overwhelming detail, line work, and narrative depth. He operates with a high degree of anonymity, allowing his elaborate, sprawling works to speak for themselves. Phlegm has exhibited in major cities globally, including London, New York, Toronto, and Sydney, establishing himself not just as a street artist, but as a significant force in contemporary fine art, celebrated for his technical precision and imaginative scope. His practice continually blurs the lines between street art, fine art, and sequential illustration.

Carlos Ramirez 'Rebel' Print Available

Artist: Carlos Ramirez
Title: Rebel
Medium: Hand Pulled 18 Layer Serigraph
Size: 30 x 24 Inches
Edition: 35
Price: $800

Carlos Ramirez, is a prominent Mexican-American, or Chicano, artist born in 1967 in the Coachella Valley of California. The son of migrant workers, his parents were originally from Mexico and followed agricultural routes for work; his mother even worked with civil rights leader Cesar Chavez during the grape boycott in the 1970s. These early experiences and his working-class Chicano upbringing deeply inform his unique art, which often highlights the struggles and resilience within Mexican-American communities and champions the common person.

For over a decade, Ramirez was half of the internationally recognized art duo "The Date Farmers" with Armando Lerma, exploring the Mexican-American experience and the identity of living between cultures. Since the duo began working independently in 2017, Ramirez has developed a solo career, creating mixed-media works that blend Mexican-American heritage with California pop culture. His paintings, collages, and sculptures are a multi-cultural mix infused with commercial references and socio-political content. Influences are drawn from a wide array of sources, including graffiti, Mexican street murals, prison art, low-rider and tattoo art, and even ancient indigenous art.

Ramirez's distinctive visual language is known for combining familiar pop iconography, such as Mickey Mouse or corporate logos, with figures from comics, folklore, and Catholicism. He often incorporates found materials like discarded packaging, stamps, and bottle caps, alongside desert creatures like coyotes and snakes, which appear frequently in his works. His pieces are known for their vibrant, "Mexican candy-colored" backgrounds, such as bright pinks and yellows, which contrast with the often serious subject matter of institutionalized racism and social inequality, reflecting an insistence on optimism and humor in the face of adversity. Ramirez has exhibited his work in museums and galleries across the US, including the Oakland Museum of California and the Palm Springs Art Museum.

Dustin D. Smith 'Unearthed' Original Available

Artist: Dustin D. Smith
Title: Unearthed
Medium: Acrylic on Canvast
Size: 16 x 20 x 1.5 Inches
Edition: UNIQUE
Price: $800

Dustin D. Smith is a contemporary abstract artist and a seasoned creative director and designer, currently based in Bend, Oregon. His artistic journey began in central Kansas, where he found making things to be a way to control the chaos in his childhood home. He developed his skills through formal education in art and design, which led him to a successful career in the advertising world, working in Chicago and San Francisco on global collaborations in print, film, and digital production for a wide variety of clients. The move to the Pacific Northwest in 2021 was a deliberate choice to be closer to nature, and the surrounding environment of forests, rivers, and mountains heavily influences his current mindset and artwork.
Smith's artwork is a deep exploration of "permanence and impermanence" through methods of pigment application and erasure, layering and erosion. He views existence as an infinite expanse in time and space, with each life a fleeting memory, a single layer in the postulate of existence. He experiments with a myriad of styles and mediums, ranging from realism in graphite to large abstract canvases and three dimensional works. His primary mediums include acrylic, graphite, and watercolor, with his large abstracts often involving a meticulous process of design in Adobe Illustrator before being transferred to the canvas or panel. In his paintings, he balances precision with the evidence of his process, including tool marks, scrapes, and fingerprints, to reflect the transient nature of existence.
He has several distinct collections, including the "Schema" collection, which focuses on intention versus destruction, and the "Stones" series of watercolor and graphite pieces, which he describes as grounding him and reminding him of balance. An avid outdoorsman and adventurer, Smith's connection to nature and the exploration of the world around him, as well as events of the past, present, and future, all come together in his paintings to evoke exploration in the mind of the viewer.

Pat Cantin 'Sur Le Sable' Print Available

Artist: Pat Cantin
Title: Sur Le Sable
Medium: Giclee Print
Size: 8.5 x 11 Inches
Edition: 25
Price: $80 CAD

Pat Cantin is a French Canadian contemporary abstract artist, born in Jonquière, Quebec, in 1978. He earned a bachelor's degree in visual and media arts and after many years working in the web industry, decided in 2012 to commit himself entirely to painting. Cantin's artistic approach embraces spontaneity and raw emotion, with a philosophy that views "consistency as a waste of time" and an obstacle to true creativity. His creative process, for the most part, is a fluid experience; while an initial idea of composition or color may exist, the final result is never predetermined and is guided by the movement of the materials themselves.
Cantin is primarily known for his abstract, semi figurative work, which he describes as "anti portrait" art. He uses a blend of oil, acrylic, and spray paint in his pieces, often applying the paint directly to the canvas with his hands. He finds that using his hands allows him to feel the texture and maintain a total control over his gesture that brushes or spatulas would not. His portraits intentionally omit traditional facial features like eyes, challenging the viewer to look elsewhere in the composition to interpret the subject's emotion or character. This approach leads to varied and deeply personal interpretations from each spectator.
Beyond portraits, Cantin also explores the symbolism of everyday objects, focusing on the common metal chair. He sees these chairs as receptacles of the "invisible trace" or emotional "burden" that people leave behind in their environment. Through his art, he aims to visually demonstrate the profound impact every word and gesture has on those around us. This work, like his portraits, encourages a thoughtful engagement with the hidden emotional landscape of human interaction. Cantin's original paintings and lenticular art are available through his official website, allowing collectors to experience his dynamic, expressionistic work firsthand.

His art often focuses on eye-catching visuals, experimenting with bright colors, shapes, and juxtaposition.
