Magda Archer 'We're In The Shit' Print Available

Artist: Magda Archer
Title: We're In The Shit
Medium: Giclee Print
Size: (A2) 42 x 59.4 cm
Edition: UNSURE
Price: £170

Magda Archer is a contemporary British artist renowned for her distinctive, witty, and often nostalgic aesthetic. She has cultivated a unique visual language that merges the kitsch sensibilities of mid-20th-century illustration with sharp, modern commentary. Archer’s work is characterized by bright colors, bold text, and a charmingly naïve painting style, frequently using dogs and other animals as central motifs to explore human emotions and social absurdities.
Her art commonly incorporates text slogans that range from the poignant and self-deprecating ("CRUMBS," "YOU'RE DEAD TO ME") to the comically mundane ("I HATE MY JOB"). This juxtaposition of sentimental imagery and deadpan or sardonic text creates a compelling tension that resonates strongly with a modern audience, often highlighting feelings of anxiety and disillusionment beneath a cheerful surface. The vintage quality of her style evokes the nostalgia of children's books or mass-produced ceramic figurines, adding layers of irony to the contemporary phrases she employs.
Archer’s impact extends beyond traditional art spaces; her commercial collaborations have brought her work into the mainstream. She has notably partnered with major fashion brands like Marc Jacobs and House of Holland, applying her signature style to clothing and accessories. This extensive body of work, blending fine art with accessible pop culture references, firmly establishes Magda Archer as a notable voice in contemporary art, using humor and nostalgia to capture the zeitgeist of modern life.

Sir Brian Clarke (1953–2025) was a leading British painter and architectural artist, widely celebrated for revolutionizing the medium of stained glass and integrating it into modern architecture. Born in Oldham, Lancashire, he started art school at just 12 years old and came to prominence in the late 1970s, known for his prolific output and work across various media including painting, sculpture, and mosaic. Clarke believed strongly that art could transform consciousness and aimed to bring the "liquid, fluid, transparent colour" of stained glass into daily experience, moving it beyond traditional religious contexts.
His work is characterized by significant technical innovation, such as pioneering stained glass without the use of lead lines and, conversely, creating sculptural works made almost entirely of lead, pushing the boundaries of the material's potential for both transparency and opacity. Throughout his five decade career, Clarke collaborated with some of the world's most renowned architects, including Norman Foster, Zaha Hadid, and I. M. Pei, on monumental projects across the globe. Notable works include the vast glass wall at the Al Faisaliah Centre in Riyadh, the towering Stamford Cone in Connecticut, and the soaring dove motif at the apex of the Pyramid of Peace and Reconciliation in Kazakhstan.
Beyond architectural installations, Clarke's diverse artistic practice included designing stage sets for Paul McCartney's world tours and creating the cover painting for the album Tug of War. A significant part of his later work involved creating free standing, folding glass screens, which function as autonomous, portable artworks that interact dynamically with light and space, rather than being fixed to a building's structure. Appointed the sole executor of the Estate of Francis Bacon in 1998, Clarke was involved in donating Bacon's entire studio contents to the Hugh Lane Gallery in Dublin. He was knighted for his services to art in the King's 2024 New Year Honours list, a fitting recognition for an artist who profoundly influenced the architectural art form and left an indelible mark on the world.

_____________

Mark Drew, an Australian graphic artist born in 1978, has carved a unique niche in the contemporary art world with his clever and nostalgic cultural mashups. Best known by the moniker "Chronic," Drew is celebrated for works that fuse the innocent aesthetic of Charles M. Schulz's classic Peanuts comic strip with the raw, often mature, lyrics of 1990s hip hop music. His signature style involves unaltered comic frames where the original dialogue is replaced by quotes from legendary rap artists like the Wu Tang Clan, Nas, Jay Z, and the Notorious B.I.G., creating a layered interplay of unexpected meaning and a sense of shared nostalgia for pop culture of that era.
Drew's artistic approach is deeply personal, mirroring the hip hop practice of musical sampling by visually "sampling" beloved cartoon characters and "mixing" them with lyrical snippets that resonate with his own youth. This technique allows his pieces to function as a visual mixtape, inviting viewers to both read and "listen" with their eyes as each lyric lands like a line of dialogue. His compositions are clean and deliberate, often using a stripped down, bold color palette that references the original comic while lending a graphic, contemporary feel.
Relocating from Sydney to Tokyo in 2009, Drew also co founded the China Heights Gallery, which began as a studio space and evolved into a prominent Sydney gallery. His work, which primarily includes paintings and screen prints, can be found in private collections worldwide, including that of the artist Drake. Drew's international presence is substantial, with exhibitions in major art hubs such as London, Los Angeles, Miami, and New York, cementing his status as a pivotal figure in the intersection of street art, hip hop culture, and contemporary fine art.

_______________

Pierre Yves Riveau, known by his artist pseudonym PEZ, is a celebrated French illustrator, painter, and graphic designer born in Nantes in 1981. Influenced by graffiti, hip hop culture, and surrealists like Dalí and Magritte, PEZ has cultivated a distinctive style that blends pop culture with street art aesthetics. He is internationally renowned for his meticulously detailed, photorealistic pencil drawings and mixed media paintings, often depicting well-known American cartoon characters in states of deconstruction or decay.
PEZ's work is distinguished by its technical precision and embedded, often dark or satirical, narratives. A notable series, "Distroy," visually corrupts beloved icons like Homer Simpson or SpongeBob SquarePants to comment on societal issues or the impact of modern life. By "tricking" the viewer with a familiar subject matter, he draws them into a deeper inspection of the layers of urban decay or complex themes hidden within the image. His original pieces, which can take many hours to complete, have garnered international attention and been featured in solo exhibitions in cities such as Paris and London, as well as group shows in Los Angeles and Seattle. PEZ continues to produce highly collectible work and collaborate on various projects, with an extensive portfolio available to view on his official website.

Isaac Pelayo 'When Doves Cry' Print Available

Artist: Isaac Pelayo
Title: When Doves Cry
Medium: Hand Embellished Giclee Print
Size: 14 x 20 Inches
Edition: 50
Price: $150

Isaac Pelayo is a contemporary American painter whose distinctive style embodies a "head-on collision between Renaissance art and street culture". Born in Los Angeles in 1996, Pelayo found an escape from a tumultuous childhood in art, initially developing his skills through hyperrealistic pencil portraits and later transitioning to oil painting. His work is deeply influenced by Old Masters such as Leonardo da Vinci, Caravaggio, and Rembrandt, a fascination developed from visiting museums, which he juxtaposes with inspiration from modern graffiti artists like Shepard Fairey and the raw energy of the urban environment he grew up in. This unique blend, which he calls "Street Baroque," features meticulously rendered classical imagery alongside loose, expressionistic elements like careless paint drips, spray paint, and his signature motif of a third eye and a yellow smiley face.
Pelayo's career gained significant momentum in 2017 after rapper and art collector Westside Gunn discovered his work on Instagram. This connection led to collaborations on album covers for Gunn and other artists on the Griselda Records label, significantly boosting Pelayo's public profile and attracting a wide network of celebrity collectors including Sean "Diddy" Combs and Shepard Fairey. A notable moment in his career came in 2019 when he installed a temporary wall across from the Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills, featuring an altered Mona Lisa with the text "walls are for art! Not dividing people" as a protest against the U.S.-Mexico border wall. After being laid off from his job in the Ink and Paint department at Disney during the COVID-19 pandemic, Pelayo successfully turned his artistic side hustle into a six-figure income, selling numerous paintings and prints online and becoming a sought-after tattoo artist for influencers. He continues to exhibit his work in galleries and museums and is actively involved in various entrepreneurial endeavors within the art and music worlds.

Vinne Hager 'Trucker Hats' Available

Artist: Chris Austin
Title: Pasture Gazing/Mythical Time Zone/Middle Of The Night
Medium: Hand Painted Trucker Hat
Size: SnapBacks
Edition: 5 (Each Color)
Price: $135

Vinnie Hager is a multidisciplinary American artist and designer from Baltimore, Maryland, known for his distinctive style that bridges the gap between physical and digital mediums. Born in 1996, his artistic journey began with a childhood surrounded by art and an early, almost addictive, inclination towards drawing and doodling. Hager developed a unique visual language using a vocabulary of lines, shapes, characters, and symbols that connect in intricate patterns, resembling a complex jigsaw puzzle. This personal iconography, which includes recognizable elements like envelopes, flowers, and eyes alongside abstract forms, is a constant motif in his work and can be adapted across various scales and surfaces.
Hager earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in 2021, and his work is deeply autobiographical, often serving as a therapeutic outlet to process significant personal losses, including the passing of his parents and brother between 2016 and 2019. His artistic practice, which is influenced by internet culture and nostalgia for skateboarding aesthetics, fluidly combines traditional drawings and paintings with new technologies, including high profile NFT collections like "Letters" and the deeply personal "Diary" project.
Hager has transitioned his art into numerous commercial and public spheres, moving beyond traditional paper and canvas to home decor, apparel, and large-scale architectural public art activations. His work has appeared on a billboard in Times Square and in group exhibitions at various galleries and museums, including the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts and Art Basel in Miami. Hager remains prolific, continually exploring diverse outlets and mediums to expand his evolving career and share his unique visual story with a global audience.
