Cheng Sum-ling, professionally known as Little Thunder, is a highly acclaimed illustrator and comic artist originally from Hong Kong. Born in 1984, she was raised in a creative environment, heavily influenced by her father who was a traditional ink painter. Cheng Sum-ling began her journey into the world of manga at the young age of eight, eventually committing to a full-time career in illustration and visual storytelling by 2001. Her work is celebrated for its intricate detail and ability to convey complex narratives within a single frame, often blending traditional watercolor aesthetics with modern digital techniques.

Her artistic style draws deep inspiration from Japanese manga, American pin-up art, and the rich cultural landscape of Hong Kong. A central theme in her portfolio is the portrayal of empowered female subjects who exude confidence, independence, and a sense of self-awareness. Beyond her standalone illustrations, Cheng Sum-ling is recognized for her significant literary contributions, including the award-winning trilogy titled 

Kylooe and the pole-dancing anthology known as The Blister Exists. Her work has reached a global audience, having been translated into several languages such as French and Italian.
