VHILS aka Alexandre Farto today debuts a monumental installation the Pyramids of Giza, as part of the 5th edition of Forever Is Now - the landmark open-air exhibition organised by Art D’Égypte | Culturvator under the patronage of UNESCO. Bringing together leading contemporary artists from around the world, the exhibition invites the creation of site-specific installations that enter into dialogue with Egypt’s vast historical and cultural legacy.

Standing beside one of the most iconic monuments in human history, Doors of Cairo takes form as a large-scale installation built from reclaimed wooden doors sourced across Cairo and Lisbon. Once part of homes, workshops, and everyday life, these doors have been reassembled into a single structure composed of two pyramid-like forms. Carved with portraits of anonymous people and assembled with geometric compositions crafted from cut fragments, the work transforms discarded materials into a monument to collective memory, a reflection on the invisible resilience of ordinary lives.
