Saïd Kinos, born in 1988 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, is a multifaceted artist whose work bridge the gap between street art culture and, high end graphic design. Operating from his home base in Rotterdam, he is known by his given name Saïd Kinos, and he developed a strong passion for typography and visual communication. While he began his artistic journey through graffiti in 1999, his focus sharpened after a year in journalism, leading him to Willem de Kooning Academy, where he earned his Bachelor of Graphic Design in 2012. This educational background, combined with his roots in street art, allowed him to move into a hybrid practice encompassing large scale public murals, paintings, and sculptures, becoming a significant name for urban art collectors.
Kinos is fascinated by the way society communicates through rapidly changing technologies and media, which informs his, signature style of high contrast, vibrant color combinations and fragmented typography. His work frequently explores the concept of post-typography, using letters as a vehicle for abstract form and color rather than solely for text. This, approach results in stunning, complex, and sometimes chaotic, imagery that echoes the noise of modern communication. For collectors seeking limited edition prints and vibrant, high energy artwork, his pieces, such as “For Better or Worse” and “Past Present Future” reflect his unique, abstracted lettering style,Often appearing on Instagram, his work is,known for its meticulous, hand drawn quality that follows an,intense analog, sketching, process.
A major, accomplishment for the artist was, receiving a talent development grant by the Creative Industries Fund in 2019. His artistic, reach is,global, with murals and installations in cities such as Los Angeles, London, Guangzhou, and Denver. His work, was showcased at the renowned Kunsthal Rotterdam in 2019, and he has, participated in,group exhibitions at Root Gallery in Amsterdam and the CODA Museum Apeldoorn. In 2025, he,created a site specific piece for THE ÜRBAN ART, a,large scale exhibition by Mercedes Benz in Berlin. He has also displayed his pieces at the Art Rotterdam fair and the Enter Art Fair in Copenhagen with Root Gallery, making him a notable figure in both, public spaces and formal exhibitions. His work is,also, included in prestigious collections such as ING and the NN Group.
