Malleus is an internationally renowned art collective based in Italy, best known for its psychedelic rock-inspired posters, screenprints, and artworks that merge music, mysticism, and striking visual design. Founded in the early 2000s, Malleus is comprised of artists Urlo, Poia, and Lu, who together bring backgrounds in illustration, music, and design to their collaborative practice. The collective’s name, meaning “hammer” in Latin, reflects both the force and impact of their creative vision.
Drawing inspiration from Art Nouveau, Surrealism, Pop Art, and underground psychedelia, Malleus produces work that feels simultaneously vintage and modern. Their posters often feature organic, flowing lines, intricate patterns, bold female figures, and an otherworldly atmosphere.
