Morgan Sheardown is a Toronto born and raised artist and designer renowned for his vibrant and emotional series Raining Cows, a body of work that emerged as a creative outlet for processing personal tragedy. Initially establishing a career in design, he graduated from OCAD University with a degree in Graphic Design and launched his own design studio in 2006, bringing an extensive background in illustration and painting to his creative endeavors. His focus shifted heavily toward painting the Raining Cows series around 2017, utilizing layered, mixed media techniques that combine acrylic, gesso, resin, and ink to create a threedimensional floating effect, often mimicking the visual impact of rain on a landscape.

Morgan Sheardown's Raining Cows series, which features cows in abstract, rainy landscapes, is designed to evoke a sense of joy, calmness, and resilience, acting as a personal symbol of triumph for the artist. A key, iconic, and highly collectible piece in this series is "Cotton Milk" a onepoint ofone acrylic painting from 2017. Other notable works within this portfolio include "Salmon Sunrise" and "Arose After the Storm" which frequently feature vibrant, contrasting colours and layered, textured surfaces. Significant exhibitions include a solo show, The Land of Raining Cows, presented by Steam Whistle Gallery in 2017, as well as showcases at the Artist Project in 2020 and 2022. He participated in the Queen West Art Crawl and the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair in 2020. His work has been exhibited at the Riverdale Hub Gallery in 2024 and at Tangled Arts Gallery.
