Malika Favre is a French illustrator and graphic artist known for her bold and minimalist style. Originally from the suburbs of Paris, she initially studied mathematics and physics before focusing on art. She studied in Paris and the United Kingdom, then worked at the London design studio Airside for five years before becoming an independent artist in 2011. Now based in Barcelona, Malika Favre's work is often seen as a blend of Pop Art and Op Art. Her illustrations use bright colors and geometric shapes, often exploring themes of femininity. She has collaborated with major publications and brands, creating covers for The New Yorker and editorial work for Vogue, Vanity Fair, and Penguin Books. Her notable projects include the poster for the 2017 Montreux Jazz Festival and her Kama Sutra alphabet series. Her work is recognized for its careful compositions and use of negative space to engage viewers.
