Banksy Bombs 'Sundance Festival'

A graffiti stencil that looks exactly like the work of Banksy, arguably the most well-known graffiti artist in the world, has popped up in Park City, where the movie community is gathering now for the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. It’s all fueling rumors that the Spotlight Surprise screening (first showing Sunday night Jan. 24) is going to be a documentary on the mysterious London-based Banksy called 'Exit Through The Gift Shop'. Banksy’s actual identity remains a mystery. On his website, he says: “I am unable to comment on who may or may not be Banksy, but anyone described as being ‘good at drawing’ doesn’t sound like Banksy to me.” The Sundance site says: “While we can’t reveal the title until the Festival gets going, we can tell you that this World Premiere documentary will leave its own unique mark on the Festival. Whether you catch the first screening or the last, this is your chance to experience Sundance history in the making.” “And if you need still more convincing, heed the words of our Festival Director John Cooper who says, “Surprise is a good thing. Take a chance on this one. I confess, it’s one of my favorites this year.”

Rene Gagnon' Bull Market' Print Release Info

Here is the next upcoming print release from artist and MBW inspiration Rene Gagnon. This piece is called 'Bull Market' and it is a 2 colour 30 x 22 inch screenprint on 250 GSM Stonehenge paper with an edition size of 33, comes signed and numbered by the artist for $85 each. These will be available on February 1st, 2010. Here are some NEW prints from artists The Date Farmers. These are called 'Don't Fight Back' and they are available in 4 different colours Green, Pink, Yellow and Blue. These are being released through POW and these are 6 colour screenprints on archival paper with an edition size of 120 per colour, these come signed and numbered by the artist for £140 each. I wonder which colour will sell out first? I say the blue!

Jermaine Rogers 'Alice In Chains' Seattle, Portland, San Francisco + Hollywood Print Releases

Here are the latest releases from artist Jermaine Rogers. This Autumn, the mighty Alice In Chains got back on the road to support the release of their first studio album in years. The shows all sold out in advance and the crowds were treated to amazing shows on these intimate theater dates. The band contacted Jermaine and hired him to do the Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Hollywood prints for the tour. The prints were scarfed up by attendees: the band purchased the entire signed and numbered regular editions from Jermaine and sold these out at the shows. Now, through an arrangement with the band's management, Jermaine will make available his artist proof copies of these prints. These ultra-rare screenprinted A/P's are signed by Jermaine and only a very limited number of each of the four different prints exist.

All 4 prints will be available around 4pm on Tuesday, November 24th, 2009.
