Born in 1971 in Uppsala, Sweden, to Portuguese parents, Saraiva moved to Paris at the age of ten and quickly became an integral part of the early French graffiti scene. He began his artistic journey on the streets in the mid 1980s, eventually shifting away from traditional letter based tagging to focus on character driven art. By 1989, he had fully introduced the world to Mr A, a dapper, long legged figure wearing a top hat with a signature winking eye and a broad grin.
