Jeff Soto - Artist Signed Brush With Art Tag *Auction Ends Tonight At 9:30pm EST

The Brush Project is a charity auction where you get the chance to purchase a unique piece of artist memorabilia, one that isn’t usually available to collectors….the artist’s actual paint brush. The brushes will be mounted and displayed in acrylic boxes at Rotofugi Gallery September 25th-October 11th and will be auctioned via eBay beginning Sunday, September 27th and concluding on Tuesday, October 7th. The first Brush Project auction, held at DvA Gallery in 2007, donated $2,500 to Americans for the Arts. We hope to raise that much or more for our chosen charity for this second installment: Gigi’s Playhouse. ALL the proceeds raised from The Brush Project will go to purchasing art supplies to help enrich these young lives. Jeff Soto, Tara McPherson And Jeremiah Ketner have chosen to hand draw on the tags as well as sign one of their personal art brushes for this cause.

Influenced by classic animation, graphic design, and daily life, Joe Ledbetter's art is... well... a lot of things. Light hearted in its approach, he often combines cute and cuddly creatures with unfortunate - albeit humorous - situations. With a lean on the subversive and absurd, these scenarios are all too familiar, questioning our tendency of taking life (and ourselves) too seriously. While working as a graphic apparel artist for three years, Ledbetter got involved in the L.A. underground art scene, beginning with group shows like Cannibal Flower. By the summer of 2004, he had honed his trademark visual style of emblematic line-work, vibrant colors, and endearing characters to the point of quitting his day job. His incredible cast of creatures have since been emblazoned on over 100 designer vinyl toys, as well as apparel and lifestyle brands, the world over.

This print of a half bird/half deer is for Phish - Mike Gordon's gig in Burlington, Vermont last Sunday night the 4th of October at Higher Ground. These are 3 colour 18 x 24 inch screen prints with an edition size of 135, they will come signed and numbered by the artist for $25 each. These are available through Nate's Etsy site, hopefully no refunds due to over selling!

Here is the next release in the 'More Punk Than You Punk' Series by artist D*Face. These two variants are 5 colour 60 x 60 cm screen print on 410GSM somerset satin with an edition size of 50, they come signed and numbered by the artist and are available in person only at Stolenspace Gallery in LDN this Saturday October 10th at 11am for £250 each. The prints available are the Fluorescent Orange & Pink colour ways. The Yellow version from the Jonathan Levine show has completely SOLD OUT. These are being released to coincide with D*Face's New York show called 'Ludovico Aversion Therapy / All Your Dreams Belong To Us'. Any remaining prints will be released to the public to purchase online or by phone on October 11th. Due to the limited quantity phone and web orders will not be accepted in advance of the release.
