Mr Brainwash 'Don't Be Cruel' FREE Print

He’s done it again… In between his work on the new Madonna greatest hits album cover and preparing for a 30,000 square foot show in London this winter, Mr. Brainwash has designed another FREE limited edition print for Artworks Magazine. MBW created an exclusive 18 x 22 inch screen prints of 'Don’t Be Cruel' with multiple + different background colors on archival paper, numbered, signed and thumb printed by the artist.on archival paper, numbered, signed and thumbprinted by the artist. Edition size will be only 200. In addition to the print, you will get a 1-year subscription to Artworks Magazine. A portion of the proceeds will benefit a non-profit dedicated to keeping art and music education in our kids’ schools. We will let you know when these one-of-a-kind prints will be available.

Julie West Upcoming Art Show

One of my favourite artists is... British illustrator and graphic artist Julie West is due to exhibit at the all-new PinkGhost location in Hollywood, Florida. The solo show opens on October 24th, 2009 with the artist on-site to sign copies of her Chubby Books. Entry is free and there will be a whole slew of different works from Julie’s portfolio, including a 20-inch custom Dunny alongside original paintings and prints. The show will open on October 24th, 2009 (7-10pm) at PinkGhost 888 Polk Street Hollywood, FL.

David Flores 'Ookla The Mok' Print Release Info

Here are two NEW prints by artist David Flores. These prints are called 'Ookla The Mok', they are both 5 colour 16 x 20 inch screenprints that come signed and numbered by the artist. Above is the regular release with an edition size of 30 and below is the metallic gold edition of only 5. The above version will cost you $50 each and the SUPER limited gold detailed version will cost you $70 each. These are both available through PandorasPrints starting on October 1st.

Here are two wicked art prints from artist Kevin Tong. First off is the next print in the Nakatomi Invitational series and it is called 'Atlas' and will be released through Nakatomi. 'Atlas' is a 5 colour 18 x 24 inch screen print with an edition size of 30, comes signed + numbered by the artist for $30 each. Below is 'Yes We Can' and it is a smaller 4 colour 12 x 9 inch letterpress on museum board with an edition size of 300, it too comes signed and numbered by the artist for $25 each.

Scion's Art Auction Blek Le Rat, David Choe, Jeff Soto...

Scion's online art auction for charity which is in progress NOW, and closes on September 30th. Features some of the best artists out there; Blek Le Rat, David Choe, Jeff Soto, AJ Fosik, and many others have pieces in the auction. Here's the deal: Scion's Installation 5 National Art Tour, featuring 44 artists, they just had their final public opening recently at Scion's LA Gallery in Culver City. Now all the art is available for purchase in an auction hosted at Artnet. All of the proceeds from the auction will benefit the non-profit, Creative Capital. Last year's auction raised $50,000 for charity and we would love your support in helping surpass that figure this year. There are some amazing art pieces still available with the opening bids at very reasonable prices. The pricing ranges from $25 all the way to $5000. For instance Blek Le Rat’s ‘The God Father’ has an opening bid of only $4,375.  Blek is currently selling similar sized works for $17,000+. David Choe collaborated with Peter Glover on a video art project called '23 Short Films' which features a hand painted, signed cover by both David Choe and Peter Glover plus a Choe original hand drawn sticker and DVD label.

BA5H 'Nine Banksy Coins' + 'Crunch' Print Releases

Here are two cool prints by artist BA5H and his Pocket Sized Graffiti campaign. These pieces are both 30 x 30 cm giclee prints, both have an edition size of 100 and both cost £100 each. These are prints of U.K. coins that BA5H has D*Face'd (I couldn't resist!) The above piece is called 'Crunch' and the middle image called 'Nine Banksy Coins' they come signed, numbered and stamped by the artist. The bottom image is a close up on one of the Banksy coins BA5H has done. Incidentally Banksy should open a bank with all the loot he has now, I would be first in line to open an account!

'Not So Alike' (below) an original 22 x 30 inch free hand and stencils on card stock for £85. The piece below is reminds my of David Choe's work
