The Obama presidential campaign was innovative. For the first time in American politics, a candidate used art and design to bring together the American people—capturing their voices in a visual way. The Design Director of the Obama campaign, Scott Thomas, has collaborated with 100's of artists and designers to create 'Designing Obama', a chronicle of the art from the historic campaign. Get the inside story on how design was used by the campaign, and scope out the pieces, created unofficially, by grassroots supporters. The 360-page book is full-color and hardbound, highly crafted with an embossed sleeve. Forewords written by Steven Heller and Michael Bierut. The Obama campaign was successful because it was powered by small donations from supporters. We believe this is the right model for things other than political campaigns, so to fund the book, we've teamed with KICKSTARTER, whose mission it is to assist the funding of creative ideas and endeavors. This print of a half bird/half deer is for Phish - Mike Gordon's gig in Burlington, Vermont last Sunday night the 4th of October at Higher Ground. These are 3 colour 18 x 24 inch screen prints with an edition size of 135, they will come signed and numbered by the artist for $25 each. 'More Punk...' Edition of 45 Each Size: 60 x 60 cm £250 Each

Here is the next release in the 'More Punk Than You Punk' Series by artist D*Face. These two variants are 5 colour 60 x 60 cm screen print on 410GSM somerset satin with an edition size of 50, they come signed and numbered by the artist and are available in person only at Stolenspace Gallery in LDN this Saturday October 10th at 11am for £250 each. The prints available are the Fluorescent Orange & Pink colour ways. The Yellow version from the Jonathan Levine show has completely SOLD OUT. These are being released to coincide with D*Face's New York show called 'Ludovico Aversion Therapy / All Your Dreams Belong To Us'. Any remaining prints will be released to the public to purchase online or by phone on October 11th. Due to the limited quantity phone and web orders will not be accepted in advance of the release. Aye Jay had been taking Cohen's paintings (with his permission of course) and mailing them to his artist friends, who would add their own paint, pen, and pencil touches to it. Years later, Aye Jay has amassed hundreds of collaborations between his son Cohen and a host of artists including Shepard Fairey, Gary Baseman, Chris Ware, Tyler Stout, Amanda Visell, Todd Bratrud, Mike Davis, and many more, all collected here in this fantastic book with an introduction written by Ben LaFond! This show, and this series of prints, are a tribute to the 40's and a certain life style that we might have forgotten. A time when things were simpler, and even in times of war, people were enjoying themselves as much as they could.  It's a portrait of an era, and it has Dain's unique style and use of colors and symbols. The 12 x 16 inch size is €29 each and the 20 x 28 inch size is €59 each.
