Joe Ledbetter 'Amalgamation Tour' Shock & Awe Show

Influenced by classic animation, graphic design, and daily life, Joe Ledbetter's art is... well... a lot of things. Light hearted in its approach, he often combines cute and cuddly creatures with unfortunate - albeit humorous - situations. With a lean on the subversive and absurd, these scenarios are all too familiar, questioning our tendency of taking life (and ourselves) too seriously. While working as a graphic apparel artist for three years, Ledbetter got involved in the L.A. underground art scene, beginning with group shows like Cannibal Flower. By the summer of 2004, he had honed his trademark visual style of emblematic line-work, vibrant colors, and endearing characters to the point of quitting his day job. His incredible cast of creatures have since been emblazoned on over 100 designer vinyl toys, as well as apparel and lifestyle brands, the world over.

These are 3 colour 18 x 24 inch screen prints with an edition size of 135, they will come signed and numbered by the artist for $25 each. Here is the next release in the 'More Punk Than You Punk' Series by artist D*Face. These two variants are 5 colour 60 x 60 cm screen print on 410GSM somerset satin with an edition size of 50, they come signed and numbered by the artist and are available in person only at Stolenspace Gallery in LDN this Saturday October 10th at 11am for £250 each. The prints available are the Fluorescent Orange & Pink colour ways. The Yellow version from the Jonathan Levine show has completely SOLD OUT. These are being released to coincide with D*Face's New York show called 'Ludovico Aversion Therapy / All Your Dreams Belong To Us'. Aye Jay had been taking Cohen's paintings (with his permission of course) and mailing them to his artist friends, who would add their own paint, pen, and pencil touches to it. Years later, Aye Jay has amassed hundreds of collaborations between his son Cohen and a host of artists including Shepard Fairey, Gary Baseman, Chris Ware, Tyler Stout, Amanda Visell, Todd Bratrud, Mike Davis, and many more, all collected here in this fantastic book with an introduction written by Ben LaFond!
