Obey 'Spider Lily' Print Release Info

Here is the next release from Obey, this is the print from Shepard Fairey's original stencil and mixed media collage on paper that recently sold on eBay for $10,300. "My parents grew up in Rock Hill S.C. which is a beautiful town in a mostly rural part of upstate S.C. I worked with my Uncle Wade Fairey to create this art to benefit Historic Rock Hill preservation. The story of the Courtney Spider Lily art is that it is a rare flower thriving in the Courtney Island section of the Catawba river. The art is designed to promote water quality on the Catawba River which has been greatly affected by 'run off from urban development' bird – wildlife habitation and “availability of movement along the Catawba”, which has resulted in a 100’ buffer on either side of the river. There are many individuals and groups interested in seeing the Catawba remain a lovely river."

This limited edition print is obviously called 'Spider Lily'. It is an 18 x 24 inch lithograph print with an edition size of 450, comes signed and numbered by the artist for $50 each. These will be available at a random time on Thursday November 5th.

Joe Ledbetter 'Black And White And Read All Over' Print Released

Here is a fun little print from artist Joe Ledbetter, this is playfully called 'Black And White And Red All Over' and it is a 10 x 8 inch giclee print with an edition size of 100, comes signed and numbered by the artist for $35 each. There are not really 100 available so act fast, these are available from all the galleries from his recent 'Amalgamation' European Tour. Funny, I have been doing some zebra art lately...hmmm.

Dunny 'Femme Fatale' Series SNEAK PEAK

Here is the latest from artist Dan McCarthy. This is his monthly release for November and it's called 'The Fall'. This is a 5 colour 17 x 24 inch screen print with an edition size of 550(ish), comes signed and numbered by the artist for $40 each. I love the little dinosaurs running through the bottom of the woods.

Roll And Tumble 'See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil' Prints

Here are three GREAT prints by the Roll And Tumble crew. These are awesome letterpress prints on french 70lb cover stock are based on the proverbial principle 'See No Evil, Hear No Evil + Speak No Evil'. These beauties are 14 x 14 inches in size and hand printed on a vintage Vandercook press and cost only $20 each. The above print is called 'Super 8' the middle print is called 'Listen To Your Heart' and the bottom print is called 'Rotary'. These are so dope!!!

Greg Craola Simkins 'The Pearl Thief' Show Details

Here are the details of the upcoming show by artist Greg 'Craola' Simkins, it is called 'The Pearl Thief' and it tells the story of a greedy monster, which travels the world stealing the imaginations of unsuspecting souls. The stolen imaginations exist in the form of pearl, but not the type of pearl that we are familiar with. In Simkins' world, the pearl holds much more value. "Inside of everyone's mind, there is a place which holds all the ideas, all the thoughts and creativity that a person will need for a life time. We have some notion of it from our dreams where it sometimes surfaces as a cloud of images jumbled together. In fact it is in the deepest part of our dreams where these confused clouds become most potent and luminous. This my friends is a Pearl. It is also what 'The Pearl Thief' lusts for the most and has devoted his entire existence to taking each and every one in to his possession, both as treasure and as currency."
 
To stop 'The Pearl Thief' and return all of the stolen imaginations, there is an interactive puzzle that the gallery has created for Simkins fans and gallery patrons.  When solved, the puzzle will lead them guests to a free 5 x 5 inch, original Simkins painting! The Pearl Thief art show runs from Tuesday November 3rd - November 25 th at Gallery 1988 Los Angeles

Fantome 'Reader' Print Release Details

Here is artist Fantome's latest release, it is called 'Reader'. It is a 4 colour 50 x 70cm screen print on 270GSM natural paper with an edition size of only 30 + a few limited number of silver backed editions and variations.
