Here are the two releases later today by artist Mr Brainwash. The above image is called 'Generations' and it is a 7 colour 30 x 22 inch screenprint using metallic silver and gold inks with an edition size of 75, comes thumb printed signed and numbered by the artist for $300 each. The image below is inspired by a famous John Lennon photograph and it is called 'All You Need Is Love'. It is a 4 colour 30 x 22 inch screenprint hand finished with pink spray paint with an edition size of 250, comes thumb printed signed and numbered by the artist for $150 each. I am unsure what 'Generations' has to do with New York???? Where as John Lennon is an obvious NYC hero.

Here is a KILLER print by super artist Hush. I am blown away by this stunning piece of art. I love how the softness of the face lends itself so well to the graf layering and ofcourse the dirty drips on the wall are mint. So good!!! This print is called 'Looking West' and it is a 31.5 x 31.5 inch 4 colour screenprinted giclee with spot varnishing on 300 GSM on textured hand deckled paper with an edition size of 50, comes signed and numbered by the artist $400 each. Ah, man this is so beautiful!! This print is being released in conjunction with his upcoming 'Passing Through: New Works By Hush' show at The Shooting Gallery opening May 1st, 2010.

Opening: Wednesday April 23, 2010 Exhibition Runs: April 23 - May 23, 2010 Location: 320 North Beverly Drive, Beverly Hills CA 90210 Lazarides Gallery is pleased to announce artist David Choe's exhibition 'Nothing To Declare'. The extremely prolific Choe has been hard at work creating new paintings, drawings, and sculptures for the 8,000 sq ft space in Beverly Hills. Driven by an unquenchable thirst for life, Choe saps every possible drop of experience - good or bad - out of his tremendous adventures. From incarceration in a Tokyo jail to hitchhiking down the Mississippi River via paddleboat, freight train hopping city to city and hunting for dinosaurs in the Congo jungle, David weaves these encounters into his work projecting a dramatic and fantastical, often sexually explicit, vision of the world. As one of the most technically proficient artists around today, no media is left untouched. Utilizing a combination of spray paint, oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache and urine, Choe works his magic on wood, cardboard, polyurethane and canvas. From the artist who first exhibited in an ice-cream parlor, expect no less than a sensory melting pot of life seen through his eyes:
“I will take all my love all my hate all my pain all my rage, all my suffering and all my skills and experience I’ve collected over the years everything I’ve learned in every medium from watercolors to oils to spray paint I’m gonna express everything I feel about this city and what it is to live and die and be born again in the city of angels..." David Choe ~ 2010

Thursday, April 8, 2010 So Huck Gee's got this big ole jar of coins... although it's not a jar, it's a jug, a gallon jug, and the damn thing must weigh close to 50 pounds. So let's have fun with this and do a good ole fashioned "guess how much money is in the jar" contest. The person to guess closest, without going over, will win a set of Colonial Life prints:one each of the SGT Vasquez and SGT Hicks prints. You have until midnight on Sunday, April 11th, to submit your guess. We will announce the winner next Tuesday, the 13th. Only one guess per person please and make sure you include a valid email address so we can contact you if you win!
Now get over here and post your guess in the comments: Heavy Metal Contest
