Unit 44 'Into The Tunnel' Event Announcement

INTO THE DARK On the 12th June 2013 Newcastle's Victoria Tunnel will house an art exhibition for the very first time since its birth in 1842, Into The Dark. The tunnel, previously used to transport cargo from one end of the industrial city to the other, will take on a new purpose for twelve hours on the 12th June. Into The Dark will showcase twelve international artists from all sides of the globe in arguably one of the most unique settings of the decade. Featuring new work from the likes of globally renowned graphic designer Shepard Fairey, one of the UK's most prolific contemporary urban artists D*Face, Portugals humanitarian artistic champion Pedro Matos and South Africa's raw and intimate graffiti artist Faith 47. Taking place 12th June, groups of twelve will be escorted Into The Dark for 30 minutes each. Check it out HERE

Obey 'Peace Dove' Letterpress Print Release Details

Here is a new twist on an old favourite 'Peace Dove' by artist Shepard Fairey of Obey. This is a 1 colour 10 x 13 inch letterpress print on 110lb hand deckled Lettre paper with an edition size of 300, comes signed and numbered for $60 each. These will be available at a random time between 1-3pm on Tuesday March 5th. The Andre stamp is priceless!!

Obey 'Sedation Pill 'Large Format Print Release Details

Here is the latest (sort of) print called 'Sedation Pill' by artist Shepard Fairey and the Obey factory. This is the Large Format version of the previously released design. This is 30 x 39.5 inch screen print on 100% archival cotton rag deckled edge paper with an edition size of 50, comes signed and numbered by the artist for $750 each. These will be available at a random time between 1pm-3pm EST on Tuesday February 19th.

I like the print, but it seems a little out of the ordinary to have two weeks of pre-hype for this print. Maybe it's a typo, I will keep you posted if the release date changes.
